So how did this collaboration and rediscovery of fashion/beauty photography come about?I was looking through the local facebook buy, sell, swap pages and stumbled across a beautiful girl selling a dress. I was taken with the first glance and kept going back to the photo, and tossing up with the idea of approaching her to do some modelling. I finally sent her a message on facebook, and was extremely happy for her to say she would be interested in working with me. I met up with Jamie Louise and was immediately taken with how gorgeous she is in person, friendly, and really totally captivating! It was also hard not to notice how short I am compared to her…even when she had no heels on!
The next part of the fashion shoot collaboration was Leisha Burke and the team at Casquade Body Essentials, in Mildura, Victoria. To say I was impressed with the hair and makeup is an understatement. The overall styling achieved totally out shone the example photos I had sent through as reference for the look I was after. A very big THANK YOU to Leisha and the Casquade Body Essential team, the pictures speak for the quality work they can achieve.
This will be a very short blog…(word wise that is), as truly the images speak volumes. I asked Jamie Louise to emotively portray “four seasons in one day…..some joy, sultry sass, sad etc” She delivered much more. I cannot speak highly enough of how professional, talented, hardworking, creative and how impressed I was that she put in 110% effort the whole shoot. This girl is as smart as she is stunning.
Please enjoy the images….I certainly enjoyed recapturing a wonderful part of my photography journey. Many years ago it all began with some of my girlfriends modelling for me, and I did their makeup and hair for them and off we went with my camera ready to go. Since all those years have come to pass, my photography has kept flourishing with new skills and confidence souring.
Funny how things can come full circle before you to see your first love grow and blossom to become one of your greatest loves.
